Ardmore Oklahoma Events
Since 1986, the Urban Planner Calendar has kept you up to date with events, events and other fun things to do with your family in America's hometowns. Delivered free to millions of households across America each December, this calendar is a time-tested tool to help families stay organized.
Our network of franchisees works coast to coast, border to border, to ensure that you get the information and savings you're interested in. Our calendar is full of coupons for popular local retailers, so you can save money while supporting small businesses right in your hometown.
Our highly qualified teachers can teach anywhere on campus and will work hard to meet the needs of your business. Oklahoma University offers dental hygiene on the Southern Tech campus, and adult students can also enroll in our state-certified Practical Nursing program. SouthernTech's BioTechnology Program offers the opportunity to learn and experience a wide range of advanced biotechnologies, biopharmaceuticals, biofuels and biotechnology technologies. Southern Tech offers a variety of additional courses for high school students and adults who want to develop technical skills in their professional lives.
Ardmore is also home to the Robert E. Lee Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that focuses on agricultural activities and the search for biological rights. Ardmore has been the scene of many philanthropic efforts channeled from the oil industry's wealth and reinvested in the region.
The Oklahoma Blood Institute opened in Ardmore on September 24, 2020, and in early 2009 it was also the site of the first blood donation center in Oklahoma State. In early 2009, Ard received more than $1.5 million in federal and state funding to develop a new blood transfusion medical center.
It owes much of its existence to the railways of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and the railway system in general. There is also a convenient cross-rail link from Ardmore to Oklahoma City, which was mainly used to transport raw materials to factories.
Ardmore has a major rail line, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Main Line, which runs from Fort Worth, Texas, to Oklahoma City, connecting Kansas City and Chicago, and is one of the most important lines in the U.S. rail network. This line was part of Burlington Southern, a subsidiary of Southern California Railway, before the merger with Burlington - Northern. There is another line from Ardmore to Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Line, but there is no cross-connection between the two cities, only a direct connection.
Ardmore is connected to DFW Airport via the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport Express Line, the only direct connection between Ardmore and the airport.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office will also help with traffic control for those listening to Mad Rock and Madill's on the radio. We will be giving away free sticks and flags to keep this long running show and location going, as well as donations.
If something happens near you that people in your neighborhood need to know, why not file it today? If you want to add your own home picture to the calendar, please contact your local publisher. When the city planner calendar is near us, we look for good business opportunities.
In response to increased demand, Southern Tech recently developed a program to directly address the employment needs of manufacturing - related companies. The program currently provides state-of-the-art engineering, technology construction, construction and contract transportation services provided by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Oklahoma State Highway Patrol (OSHP) to meet the entire area's needs.
Parking is available in the Southern Tech Campus parking lot, adjacent to the campus parking garage, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Please do not enter the facility until all participating teams have completed, and be aware of social distancing. Team meetings should be held in the parking lot to avoid large crowds when getting in and out. The teams are led in groups of two to three people to allow a random gathering of the crowd. Meetings - and greetings with match teams and team meetings - will again be allowed in less-educated crowds. This will allow the next group of spectators to enter the grounds to enjoy their game, but please remain aware of the presence of a large crowd before your team meeting, remain attentive and socially distant.
Bring your deckchairs and blankets and go outside to listen to live music and enjoy refreshments and a barbecue served by local food trucks and local vendors, as well as live entertainment. Enjoy local talent and introduce the Master of the Voice group in a live performance of their new album "The Master Voice."
